The Why

Whether you are newly separated or trying to exercise your parenting time, Softer Landings supports fathers by ensuring that cost does not get in the way of a positive parenting experience.

The Where

Available items are stored at my home in the SE of Calgary. Pick-up and drop-off of items are generally conducted at public locations such as nearby parking lots.

The Who

The YYC Dad Library is included for free for clients of Softer Landings. Fathers that are not clients may still request access however a small deposit may be required for certain items.

The How

The YYC Dad Library is can be accessed online by contacting us and requesting access to our item list which details item availability, pictures and instructions for requesting items.

Limited Visitation? No toys? No problem!

We believe in supporting all fathers that are trying to improve the connection with their children. Many fathers experience anxiousness from not having everything they need to have a positive visit with their child. To help, we have a variety of toys sorted by age group to choose from.

Let us know if you know if you need help planning activities for you and your child. We understand this can feel overwhelming in many ways, especially financially.

Babies & Toddlers

If you're newly separated, getting everything you need for your kids can be daunting, we can help by lending out items including cribs, baby monitors and high chairs etc.

Need something we don't have? Using our network of resources and other dads to help find what you need.

Activity/Seasonal Specific Items

We have many items like baby carriers, sleds, kids pools, water tables and much more available to borrow. Some popular items can be borrowed shorter duration to ensure items are available to as many fathers as possible.
